A shared widget across your approved websites.

The current design uses one web chat widget per company workspace. That widget has an approved-domain list and can be used across allowed websites and pages. It is a shared company connection, rather than a separate independently branded widget for every site.

  • Use the widget on approved pages and website origins.
  • Set the company greeting, title and colour centrally.
  • Bring visitor enquiries into the company’s web chat channel.

A short setup with a proper final check.

Prepare the widget, approve the domains, add the installation to your site and test the journey. Your website implementation and privacy settings affect the final setup. Website chat is currently in development; the live installation must be completed and tested before customer use.

Carry the visitor’s question into the working day.

Once the connection is enabled and tested, the visitor’s enquiry can enter your team’s conversation workflow. Give it an owner, understand the requirement and keep follow-up close. Configure automatic replies and AI assistance only after agreeing their behavior and customer handoff.

Let visitors understand what happens to their message.

Make the chat entry point easy to find, show appropriate privacy information and confirm which browser storage or cookies the live widget needs. Approved domains control where the widget can run; they do not replace a privacy policy or a tested data-deletion process.

Questions, answered.

Can the same company widget run on multiple websites?

The widget supports an allowed-origin list, so the same company widget can be installed on approved website domains and pages. Each exact origin must be configured and tested.

Can each website have its own independent widget?

The current application model provides one widget per company workspace, with shared settings. Separate independent widgets or per-site branding are not promised by this setup.

Does adding app.smgateway.com alone connect the chat?

No. The live hosted chat URL or widget installation details must be supplied by the application, configured for the approved website origins and verified end to end.

Is website chat live today?

The operator has confirmed that website chat is being developed. This page explains the planned setup; production activation follows the completed integration and customer-journey checks.
